3 workouts. 1 instructor. No 2 workouts the same.
There’s only one thing you can consistently expect from Midtown’s signature 312 experience – a great workout.
312 consists of 3 workout blocks, which last about 20 minutes each: cardio, strength, and core. Within this framework, your coach designs a unique workout for each class, so you’ll never get bored or have to worry about memorizing choreography.
The cardio block gets your heart rate up and prepares you for the strength work ahead. From agility exercises, to sprints, steps, and burpees, you’ll definitely work up a sweat.
20 minutes of cardio may sound a little intimidating, but 312 is designed for people of all fitness levels. Your coach will offer suggestions for modifying the more advanced moves in the class.
During the strength block, you’ll get a full-body workout using minimal equipment (usually just dumbbells.) The functional exercises featured, like squats, overhead presses, and dead lifts, to name a few, are ideal for toning up and building strength.
After 40 minutes of hard work, you’ve earned the third workout: core and flexibility. Just like the first two workouts, the core block is thoughtfully designed and incorporates so much more than just sit-ups. You’ll cool down and strengthen your core at the same time.
I take 312 once a week and I’m never disappointed. Because of the variety of moves and the engaging, fun instruction, I always feel like the class goes by quickly. After only a few weeks of regularly taking 312, I felt my fitness improving, and I look forward to finding out what’s in store each time I step into the Theater.
