Hit the court for TNT
In the world of social distancing, now is the best time to get active by playing tennis. Tennis is widely regarded as one of the safest activities you can do during COVID, and with our patented Tennis in No Time program, you will go from complete beginner to tennis player in only four weeks.
This program is open to everyone, even if you're not a member of the club. Plus, if you sign up, you can use the entire club the days of your sessions--including for group fitness, the pool, and more.
We don't like to brag, but we're pretty proud to have introduced more than 100,000 players to the game of tennis over the past 50 years through our Tennis in No Time program (TNT).
While our courts have seen the likes of Venus Williams, Billie Jean King, Andre Agassi, and more, TNT alumni are keeping the courts hot every day during cardio tennis, monthly adult tennis mixers, personal court time, and as members of our adult tennis teams and leagues. I mean, just look at Midtown Bannockburn’s women’s tennis team, comprised of TNT graduates turned Nationals contenders.
Did you know tennis players scored higher in vigor, optimism and self-esteem while scoring lower in depression, anger, confusion, anxiety and tension than other athletes and non-athletes.
The Lesson
The only skill we require TNT participants to have prior to your first lesson is nailing a high five. You can leave the rest to our expert tennis instructors.
Each TNT lesson consists of 90-minutes of on-court tennis development where you’ll learn how to forehand, backhand, volley, lob, serve, and serve return, as well as the basic tactics of singles and doubles play. You’ll also learn with two different types of balls, the red ball and the orange ball. These lower compression, lighter weight balls slow the speed and lower the bounce, ultimately making it easier to rally and allowing for more meaningful repetitions.
How exactly will you learn these skills? Our tennis instructors engage participants in interactive drills and partner play to promote technique development and team bonding.

Non-member Benefits
For non-members, the program offerings don’t stop at lessons. On the days on their sessions, non-members have full access to all of Midtown’s amenities and fitness studios.
What’s Next
At the completion of your Tennis in No Time session, your coach will give you a rating to guide your future participation in various tennis programs, as well as a roadmap for your continued development.
You’ll be invited to take part in our favorite tennis programs, including Adult Instructional Program, Drill and Play, Cardio Tennis, Teams designed for new players, and monthly tennis socials.
