Yoga Retreat Q&A
WHEN IS THE RETREAT AND HOW LONG IS IT?
The retreat is five days and nights, March 2 through March 7. We’ll fly out of the Rochester International Airport early on March 2 and connect at JFK Airport in New York, arriving in Antigua before 2:30pm.
WHAT KIND OF YOGA WILL WE BE DOING?
Randi and Karyn will be leading two of their signature Power Vinyasa Yoga sessions daily. You will be able to take the time to work on details of the poses and transitions between poses as well as advanced variations. Practice will be challenging but accessible to all levels. Support and guidance will be provided as you delve deep into your practice in the magical place.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE CURTAIN BLUFF?
Curtain Bluff has been regularly recognized by Conde Naste and Travel & Leisure as one of the top three resorts in the Caribbean. It is an incomparable high-end, beach-front, boutique resort with impeccable service and incredible amenities. Nestled in a cove between two beaches, it is truly a beautiful and magical place. Curtain Bluff’s Executive Chef of 20 years, Christophe, serves up wonderful meals, always excited to share his love of local, fresh and healthy fare.
WHAT ARE THE ACCOMMODATIONS LIKE?
The guest rooms are beautiful, spacious junior suites, just feet from the ocean. They are designed for double occupancy, but don’t worry if you don’t have a roommate, we will match you up with another one of our retreat go-ers. We plan on having an intimate, cohesive group of like-minded people. It’s highly likely you will find a new friend for life. Maybe even a few.
WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
This is a perk of the trip that we couldn’t believe. Whether you would like to water ski, sail, kayak, windsurf, snorkel, paddle board...it’s all included! There is also a spa perched on a bluff with stunning views. The spa menu includes massage techniques from deep tissue to Swedish to Thai Yoga massage. There are body treatments such as herbal detox wraps and body polishes. Also, facials, manicures and pedicures. Treatments begin with some relaxation on the open veranda and end with champagne and a soak in the infinity edge hot tub. Spa services are not included, but a special group rate of 15% off we be offered while we are there.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE EVENING?
After the late afternoon practice and a delicious dinner with your friends, we will enjoy live music each night as well as special secret planned events. Oh, by the way...what’s an island retreat without a white party? Be sure to bring your whitest whites for a Super Sweet Soul Celebration.
