Do you love tennis? Do you miss the enjoyment of hitting a cross-court winner? If so, Midtown’s tennis and racquet sports facilities and programs are open and ready for you. Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve your flexibility, or become a better athlete, Midtown offers hundreds of tennis and racquet sports programs throughout the year.
You can get back on the court in a safe and socially-distant way and take advantage of the many programs and services we offer, including:
- Team Tennis: Midtown offers a variety of different team practices and matches. Teams are broken-down by level and gender. Our teams will start competing in the Chicago Indoor Tennis Association (CITA) league in September and multiple USTA leagues in October. For other club’s practice schedules and program offerings, visit the club page.
- Adult Instructional Classes: These classes focus on learning and improving your tennis game, classes are divided by tennis experience and level.
- Junior Tennis Classes: These classes are offered to kids starting at age 3. Nonmembers are welcome to join this program while members receive a member rate.
- Paddle Classes: Many Midtown locations have team practices and matches as well as beginner lessons for Paddle sports.
- Cardio Tennis is a high-energy tennis workout, featuring fast-pace drills choreographed to heart-pumping music. Members can view the schedule and enroll in a class through the Midtown website or by calling your respective club’s front desk.
- Private and semi-private lessons: You can contact your favorite coach directly to arrange a customized tennis or paddle session.
- Racquets and Strings: Midtown has a variety of racquets and tennis equipment for sale and stringing available. Please contact the tennis coach/stringer for your club or drop-off your racquet for stringing at the front desk.
Tennis is the ultimate non-contact sport (or at least it should be). So, get back out there, enjoy some fresh air and make some new friends. There are so many physical and mental benefits that tennis offers so long as you practice in a six-foot-apart and socially-distant way. Midtown is here for you and ready to get you back to the game you love (pun intended).
