Sweet Soul Revival Yoga Retreat 2018
Mar 21, 2018
For the second year in a row, Mind Body Director Randi Lattimore and Yoga Instructor Karyn Lederman led Midtown's Sweet Soul Revival Yoga Retreat in Antigua, West Indies. Twenty-four retreat goers enjoyed the exclusive getaway held at the incredible Curtain Bluff resort. Curtain Bluff is recognized by Conde Naste and Travel & Leisure as on the of top resorts in the Caribbean. This high-end, beachfront boutique resort is the perfect setting for a yoga retreat.
Karyn and Randi taught two, 2-hour yoga classes each day with specific themes and time to work on all aspects of the yoga practice. There was, of course, their signature sweaty and powerful vinyasa flow classes, but there was also time for reflection & journaling, mediation, and pose workshops.
Included in the retreat were a multitude of water sports and activities. The beautiful weather did not let up and provided plenty of time for some amazing snorkeling, sailing, water skiing, and paddle boarding. The group catamaran sailing trip along the coast was a big highlight. They even saw a sea turtle this year!
Dining was nothing short of a fine experience. They dined on fresh seasonal produce by local, small holding farmers and fish caught that day and prepared by Curtain Bluff's executive chef of 20 years, Christophe. The food was marvelous and, after four hours of yoga each day, retreat goers rewarded themselves each night with decadent desserts, too.
Every evening after dinner there was live music and dancing.
Retreat goers took advantage of Curtain Bluff's world class spa perched on a bluff with stunning views, massages, body treatments, facials and more.
This trip was truly a transformational journey and a sweet soul revival for all who attended. Forever friendships and memories were made.
