Kidtown Information & Procedures
Please familiarize yourself with several new procedures outlined here to facilitate a safe and fun Kidtown experience. To ensure the children’s safety, we will implement several new health and safety targeted procedures which include the wearing of face coverings by children and counselors at all times, participation and ratio limits, social distancing, enhanced cleaning protocols including routine furniture and space sanitizing with AOS solution, and the utilization of airPHX air circulation sanitizing system.

Things to Know Before Arrival
- Kidtown will be open daily from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm for member children 8 weeks to 8 years.
- A 90-minute reservation may be made for the following time periods: 8:00 am to 9:30 am, 10:00 am to 11:30 am, and 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, 7 days in advance on the Midtown homepage or by clicking here (member login required).
- A reservation is required for entry and only accepted on-line (phone-in reservations or drop-ins will not be accepted).
- We will begin accepting reservations Monday, August 10 at 1:00 pm.
- Half-hour breaks between reservation periods will be used to clean and sanitize Kidtown, and prepare for the next reservation group.
- Family memberships may participate in up to three reservations per 7 days and no more than one reservation per day. Cancellation of a reservation must be made on-line following reservation procedures. No-show or late cancellation (less than 24 hours in advance) will be assessed a $26 fee. Emergency cancellation less than 24 hours in advance may be sent to kidtownchicago@midtown.com.
- Children will be grouped in stable cohorts during their stay with family members and/ or by age.
- Snacks will not be available, and food and drink from the outside is not allowed.
- If a child becomes ill while at Kidtown, the child will be removed from the group accompanied by a counselor. The parent will be contacted to care for their child.
- Whether dropping-off or picking-up children, only one parent will accompany their child.
Upon Arrival
- At the start of a reservation period, parents and children will assemble in front of the Kidtown vestibule in the arrival queue. If a reservation period has already started, parents and children will be checked-in at the Kidtown counter.
- Parents will provide a mobile number and their club location in the event contacting the parent is necessary.
- Prior to entry, all children will have their temperature checked and parents will answer a brief health appraisal to assure their child does not have symptoms of illness. If a child has a fever of 100.4 degrees the child will not be permitted to enter Kidtown, and parents will be encouraged to see a health care provider.
- In addition to a temperature check and health appraisal, a child will not be allowed access if they have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, show any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, respiratory problems, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell). If signs of these symptoms exist, a child will not be able to return to Kidtown until symptom free for 72 hours without the aid of medication.
- Children may not bring personal items from home while attending the nursery.
- Parents will not be allowed past the Kidtown check-in counter.
- Access will be denied for refusal to participate in any part of the screening process.
At Pick-up
- Parents are expected to pick up their child at the end of their reservation period.
- The parent that dropped-off a child will be expected to pick-up.
- In reverse of the arrival procedure, parents will pick up at the Kidtown counter while being mindful of the parents and children that are preparing to enter Kidtown for the next reservation period.
- Parents who are not timely will have their Kidtown privileges suspended.
